Yes, the customary, pleasant plot twist does arrive at the very end as we've grown to expect from Chase, but this time, the book's ending does not seem to have deeper implications; the ending struck me as /5.   The book's wild, globe-trotting plot is hilarious in a Monty Python sort of way: violence and heartbreak are treated with a deadpan tone, making it impossible not to laugh at uncomfortable scenarios.
